The Value of Human Created Content Vs A.I. Generated Content.
A.I. seems to be absolutely everywhere and it is undeniably impressive when we consider how far technology has advanced over recent years and how helpful it can be- But are we losing the human touch?
Here is why I believe content written by real people is so much more powerful for companies.
“Its nothing personal…”
That’s something people say when they know they have upset someone, but when the context shifts to A.I. it means exactly that- Nothing personal.
We have all seen a huge rise in companies using A.I. for its its efficiency, affordability, and quick out-comes in a fast paced world and it is brilliant that we now have that type of technology in our grasp. got a question? ask A.I…. not sure on how to do something? ask A.I… It can be very useful. mistakes can be made, but its always improving to avoid those mistakes.
One thing me, and many other people I have spoken to have noticed though, is that everything seems further away. There are no emotions, feelings or appropriate changes of tone interjected into the words when A.I. is used to replace creative tasks and workload that people were once always paid to do.
Only the other week I saw a post on Facebook about the closure of an old local pub, a historical place for many, and their sad announcement (if you haven’t already guessed) was written by A.I… it literally stated just that at the top of the post. People in the comments were sad and others were commenting suggestions quickly on what should take its place, but it was almost more heart-breaking that there was no time nor effort put in to a post that would have been sad news for many of those locals. It all just seems very distant and actually fairly cold.
This is why, as a creative freelance professional, I stay strict on my stance when it comes to using A.I within my written work. That personal touch and warmth is a promise I intent to keep as a guarantee in any work I produce for anyone.
Technology is amazing and A.I. certainly has its place, but just not within my work
stay in touch, stay creative.
